NRG is the world’s first and foremost dehydrated homemade dog food. It all started 15 years ago on our farm in Canada. We bred, raised and showed dogs all around North America. Being unhappy with the quality of dog foods in the market and the results, or lack thereof, we would see in our dogs we decided to make our own homemade dog food for our champion dogs. We noticed the benefits right away. Our dogs were healthier, happier, had shinier coats, less allergies etc...
Since we traveled a lot for dog shows we wanted to find a way to make the dog food more convenient to travel with. Freezing was not an option since that required coolers with ice and even then it did not last long so we looked into dehydration. This seemed to be the best alternative, but we still had to find a way to preserve the food for longer trips. After much research and effort we finally came up with a proprietary way of dehydrating our homemade diets without supplementation. This was a breakthrough in dog food diets.
NRG is still, to this day, the only completely balanced; all life stages dog food that does not use any supplementation or preservatives in our dog food diets. We still manufacture our dog food on our own farm by our own hands. Every step of the manufacturing process is done by the owners of the company to ensure NRG dog food diets are still made the same and no ingredient is missed.
After years of success in Canada we decided to set our sights once again on the US market. We have had success in the past but, due to situations that were out of our control, we lost our footing in the USA. We have opened our own distribution center here in the USA that we can control. After about two years in the USA we have already seen NRG grow at leaps and bounds and people are noticing the benefits of feeding NRG to their dogs. It will take time for NRG to reach all corners of the USA, and it may never reach everywhere. This is not a food you will ever see in your big box stores or even in most corner pet stores. NRG is destined for only select pet stores around the country that are truly “healthy” pet stores, and take pride in offering only the top notch dog food diets.
